NRICorp does not represent itself as a Registered Native Title Body Corporate (RNTBC), Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC), Native Title Representative Body or Native Title Service Provider and does not purport to exercise the statutory functions, decision-making authority or representative authority of those bodies.

NRICorp does not make, determine or adjudicate Native Title claims, Native Title rights and interests, Traditional Owner status, cultural authority, connection to Country or membership of a particular Traditional Owner group.

Unless NRICorp has received specific and appropriate authority for a particular matter, nothing published or communicated by NRICorp should be interpreted as representing the collective views, decisions or consent of Native Title holders, Traditional Owners, an RNTBC/PBC, Native Title claim group or other Aboriginal community or cultural authority.

Where a project, activity or engagement affects Country, Native Title, cultural heritage, Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property or Traditional Owner rights and interests, NRICorp supports direct engagement with the appropriate rights holders and cultural authorities and the principles of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC).

Engagement with NRICorp does not replace any statutory consultation, notification, consent, agreement-making or other obligation owed to Native Title holders, Traditional Owners, RNTBCs/PBCs or other legally recognised Aboriginal parties.

NRICorp recognises that Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) may be collectively held and that cultural knowledge, stories, language, imagery, practices, cultural expressions, ecological knowledge and other cultural material remain subject to the authority, laws, customs and protocols of the relevant Traditional Owners, custodians and knowledge holders.

No statement on this website is intended to transfer ownership of Traditional Knowledge or ICIP to NRICorp merely because NRICorp has received, documented, facilitated or communicated that material.

Where NRICorp develops its own methodologies, frameworks, reports, research, training materials, project designs, business models, engagement processes, written materials, graphics, databases or other original works, NRICorp reserves all applicable copyright and intellectual property rights in those works, subject always to any underlying ICIP and the rights of relevant cultural knowledge holders.

Unless otherwise expressly stated or agreed in writing, NRICorp materials must not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, published, disclosed, commercially exploited, incorporated into another project, used for artificial intelligence or machine-learning training, or used to develop derivative products or services without NRICorp's prior written permission.

Permission from NRICorp does not constitute permission to use ICIP belonging to Traditional Owners or cultural knowledge holders. Where cultural material is involved, appropriate cultural authority and consent must also be obtained directly from the relevant rights holders.

Participation by NRICorp in a meeting, consultation, project, submission, workshop, advisory process or commercial discussion must not be represented as Native Title holder, Traditional Owner, PBC/RNTBC or community consent unless the relevant rights holders have separately provided that authority or consent through an appropriate process.

NRICorp reserves the right to protect its confidential information, ICIP-related interests, copyright, intellectual property, project concepts and commercial interests and to require appropriate confidentiality, attribution, licensing and ICIP protocols before information or materials are used by another party.
