First Nations women have cared for Country for tens of thousands of years through cultural knowledge, environmental stewardship and intergenerational leadership. Whether it is us in the now timeline or our Ancestors before us - we care and we lead.
Today, more women are seeking careers in rangering, conservation and environmental management, but many still face barriers to training, employment and professional networks.
We want to flip the script. Illuminate, understand and overcome whatever is challenging us so we can simply resume leading and caring as a career pathway.
The Victorian Women Ranger Environmental Network (WREN) has been created to bring First Nations women together—connecting us to opportunities, supporting one another, and strengthening pathways into meaningful careers that care for Country.
WREN is a place to build relationships, share knowledge, access mentoring, discover training and employment opportunities, celebrate achievements, and amplify the voices of First Nations women working across the environmental and conservation sectors.
